Grecìa Salentina is the name of a Salento’s region where still lives the ancient Greek culture. Grecia Salentina’s territory is formed by several villages: Martano, Calimera, Castrignano dei Greci, Corigliano d'Otranto, Martignano, Melpignano, Soleto, Sternatia and Zollino. Nine villages where the “Griko”, the ancient Greek language referable to ancient Magna Grecia, is still spoken among people in the form of a dialect.
